Woven Fabrics

Woven fabrics are made by interlacing two sets of yarns (warp and weft) at right angles, typically using looms. They have a structured, grid-like pattern, offering durability, stability, and minimal stretch. Common examples include denim, cotton poplin, and canvas. Ideal for structured garments like jeans, shirts, or jackets.

Knitted Fabrics
Knitted fabrics are created by interlooping yarns in rows of interconnected loops, forming a flexible, stretchy texture. They provide elasticity, breathability, and comfort, conforming to body movements. Examples include jersey, rib-knit, and fleece. Widely used in T-shirts, activewear, socks, and stretchable apparel.

Key Difference
Woven fabrics resist stretching and hold shape; knitted fabrics stretch easily and adapt to curves.
